School's Out- Summer Break Begins

The kids are officially done with school. They are ready for summer. I do not seem to know how to just spend the summer being lazy because I signed them up for all sorts of camps.  Is it a problem that I cannot just remain still for a bit? They will be continuing their current lessons of dance, karate, and music, and summer swimming lessons.  I am going to have them all tutored in Math through the summer as that is the weakest subject at our house.  We will also sign up for the summer reading program at the library- always a favorite.

The first camp the kids will take is Vacation Bible School. They loved this last year; the singing, dancing, and uplifting Christ centered activities.  I like it because they are all together and gone at the same time.  Next Bear will be hosting a dance camp for our circle to fulfill one of her Faith in God requirements. That is going to be crazy because I think all the kids in our circle will be in our backyard. Bub is going to be taking basketball camp and I think we are going to try guitar lessons. Piano was not working for him but I am not willing to give up music so we are going to see where guitar leads.  Bear will participate in an archery camp. Bub and Bear will each have Japanese Cultural class for a week at the school. They will also be doing a camp called Water World together.  Lastly, all three kids will be performing in the summer Missoula Children’s Theater.  This was Bear’s favorite thing last summer so I have encouraged Bub and Pants to participate this year. On top of all this I hope to spend lots of days at the beach and attending the many Japanese summer festivals. Sheesh! We may be exhausted by the time school starts at the end of August.  Summer break, here we come!
